What does the Level 1 course involve?

The Level 1 is a generic course & provides you with the knowledge & skills you need as an assistant coach who can plan, deliver & review angling activities. You will be able to work under the guidance of a Level 2 Angling Coach.

The course is run over two separate days - usually between two & four weeks apart. You need to be an experienced angler in your chosen discipline - this course is concerned with imparting coaching skills & does not teach you how to fish.

You will receive a welcome pack, a portfolio & other resources to help you through the course. The course is a mixture of pre-course work that you carry out at home before the first day, tasks & activities during the course days - usually as part of a small group, some home study, an assessment of your practical coaching skills & a written assessment paper.
