The Welsh men’s carp team have been crowned Home Nations champions for 2026 after edging a tight contest at Lyons Drove Fishery in Cambridgeshire that went right to the wire. Last Saturday (13th June) the inaugural DragonMania Boat event took place, hosted by Cardiff Bay Yacht Club, coinciding with CBYC’s annual summer open. The measure competition was catch and release and attracted 66 anglers and 20 boats. There were some top boat anglers at the event, which started at 8am and back to the weigh in by 7pm. After discussions with the three Angling Cymru Sea Anglers (ACSA) Regions, it has been decided that the Angling Cymru DragonMania Welsh Shore Angling Championships will not take place in 2026.
