New Welsh Record Spurdog
A huge congratulations to Craig Wilson who has now had his Spurdog, weighing 9.07kg (19.99lbs), ratified as new Welsh Record for Spurdog. Craig, from Cardiff, caught it on 31st December 2025 off Stout Point aboard Sea Leopard with skipper Darren Ryan. The previous record holder was Paul Whittle from Holyhead, who held the record since 2008 with a fish of 8.997kg. Craig’s fish was just 0.083kh heavier but enough to net the record! Well done, Craig.

Dedicated Pembrokeshire coaching volunteers introduce 224 youngsters to angling in 2025
The tireless dedication of a group of Pembrokeshire based volunteers has helped introduce 224 youngsters to angling in 2025. 5th Blood Bikes Wales Open fishing competition raises £923 for the charity
The fifth Blood Bikes Wales Open Beach Fishing Competition, organised by members from Pembroke & District Angling Club and Osprey Sea Angling Club, was held on 9th November 2025 on Amroth beach in South Pembrokeshire.
