Angling Cymru – Directors Wanted

Angling Cymru is seeking enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our Board of Directors.

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of angling in Wales, supporting the development of the sport at every level—from grassroots participation and coaching to competitive pathways and international representation.

We welcome applications from people with a passion for angling and a desire to make a positive difference. Previous Board experience is helpful but not essential.

We are particularly interested in people with skills or experience in areas such as governance, finance generation, fundraising, EDI, safeguarding, events, coaching, youth development or community engagement.

As a Director, you will help to:

• Provide strategic direction and good governance for Angling Cymru

• Support the growth, accessibility, and sustainability of angling in Wales

• Champion the interests of anglers, clubs, coaches, and volunteers

• Attend Board meetings and contribute to key decisions

• Help promote a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for everyone involved in the sport

Whilst this is a voluntary role, we would, of course, pay for any out of pocket expenses that you incur.
