The DragonMania Welsh Angling Championships return at the end of March – with registration now open..
This year’s Shore competition opens with a match at Burry Port North Channel on March 30th, before it moves on to Pendine on April 20th, then St Brides, East Region on May 11th and Pwllheli on July 6th.
The match at St Brides has replaced the originally announced match three at Aberaeron North Beach, which has had to be cancelled after discussions with the relevant local authorities, regarding works on Aberaeron’s new flood defences.
The top five anglers from each of the four events go through to the final at Freshwater East in Pembrokeshire on October 5th, where the winner will be crowned Welsh champion, with a £1,500 total prize fund on offer.
Last October, Christopher Jenkins from Newport & District Sea Angling Club won the final at Aberavon Beach to bag the 2023 Welsh Shore title.
