Angling Cymru can now unveil the full match schedule for the 2026 edition of DragonMania for coarse anglers.
The competition will follow the same format as last year, with 20 qualifying matches at five different venues across Wales between April and September.
The winners of each will qualify for the 20-angler final – which this year returns to White Springs Fishery near Pontarddulais, Swansea, on Sunday 4th October. It will be the third time the venue has hosted the final since DragonMania’s inception in 2021.
Andrew Mann was the inaugural winner at White Springs that year, before Dan Bowen made familiar surroundings count there with victory in 2022. After the competition took a break in 2023, Matty Dawes took the honours at Fachwen Pool, near Newtown, in 2024.
Dawes went agonisingly close to making it back-to-back DragonMania wins in the 2025 final last October, at Weston Pools, missing out by only 4oz to Harry Billing.
