Competition update – Shore DragonMania

An update regarding the Angling Cymru DragonMania competition for shore anglers.

After discussions with the three Angling Cymru Sea Anglers (ACSA) Regions, it has been decided that the Angling Cymru DragonMania Welsh Shore Angling Championships will not take place in 2026.

It became clear during these discussions that the format of the competition, launched back in 2022, needed a re-think.

As a result, Angling Cymru will be trialling a new regional format shore competition for 2026, starting with a one-off competition to be held in the North Region this year. More details to follow in due course.

We will also continue to work with the ACSA East and South West Regions around future shore competitions in those regions.
