Wales crowned Men’s Shore Angling Home Nations champions

Updated: Jul 17

There was reason for celebration for the Welsh men’s shore team after they were crowned team champions at the 2025 Sea Angling Liaison Committee (SALC) Home Nations Shore Angling Championships.

This year’s championships were staged over three days in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, with two sessions at Longfield Wall on the Foyle Estuary, either side of the middle session at Benone Strand on day two.

After three intense days of intense competition with England, Ireland and Scotland, it was the Welsh team of Dorian Harris, Ben Edwards, Rob Collins, Phil Jehu and Craig Maddock, managed by Ivor Smith, who edged it to ensure the trophy would be coming home to Wales.
